2007 was the year that put Pancrase London on the MMA map. 2008 will be the year that shows the MMA world that Pancrase London is a serious force not to be taken lightly.
First off we would like to let everyone know that we have now started a Sunday class taken by Jason Featherstone who has recently who earned his Commando Krav Maga (CKM) title. To learn more about this class and what it entails check out Jason's profile in the Instructors page.
On 15 March on the FX3 - Fight Night 7 card PL fighters Andrew Burnett and the debut of Nick Osipczak, who both won their fights in the first round via a Ground n Pound TKO. Andrew and Nick showed a master class of wrestling and demonstrated a textbook Ground n Pound stoppage. Their opponents were Nigel Whitear (a veteran fighter with 14 fights under his belt) and Brendan Flanagan (who with 2 previous wins under his belt shows a lot of promise in the UK MMA scene). Well done to all fighters who showed a lot of heart and a warrior spirit.
PL golden boy, Ashleigh Grimshaw, is a very annoyed man. After months of hard training two of his opponents have pulled out consecutively. Now with his next fight against Italian fighter Cristian Binda, Ashleight promises this fight is going to be as explosive has his last outing. The fight is taking place on the Cage Rage: Contenders card on 12th April at The Troxy. Make sure you all reserve your tickets and be there to root for the Ash Cream Man.
Jess is heading out to the US again to train for his 4th UFC fight taking place in London on 7th June. His opponent will be the very explosive fighter Paul Taylor. This fight will mean a lot to Jess has he is just coming off of a loss against Marcus Davis and because this will give Jess the oppertunity to avenge a previous loss to Paul and show to the world that his first 2 wins in the UFC was no fluke. This fight will have everyone on the edge of their seats as both fighters are very highly respected and
feared.
Jess will be back from the US mid April. In the meantime the Friday classes will be closed and will continue running upon his return.
