This month saw the return of numerous Pancrase London fighters.
We start off with Anthony Okorie who want the Level 1 Heavy Weight title at Grapple & Strike via a unaninmous judges decision against the formidable Mathew Joes on 29th September. A big congratulations to the big man for his impressive win.
Nick Osipozak win the Middleweight British Title at the M.M.A Total Combat 22 on 1:49 of the second round via a rear naked choke.
A great night for the PL crew at FX3 'England vs Germany' on Saturday 24th November. Both our boys, Ash and Guy, won their fights in a convincing fashion. First up was Guy Hennequin who defeated Damon Wright via TKO at 3:45 of the first round. Guy rocked Damon late into the first round and did not waste time to capitalise on this advantage and rushed in to finish the job.
Ash took on the expericned Phil "Billy" Harris (who in the past thought a former PL fighter). Phil got an early takedown on Ash Grimshaw, but Ash managed to return to his feat and landed a thunderous right hand which floored Phil. Ash was on top of Phil Harris instantly and reigned down with some ground & pound until the referee thought Phil had enough and stopped the contest at 46 seconds of the first round.
Both fighters, Ash and Guy, competed in the featherweight
division and both showed that they are a force to be reckoned with, more so Ash, showed to everyone why he is one of the most feared featherweights in the UK scene.
There will be a slight change to the timetable during the Xmas period due to classes not being very busy due to the festivities, but also Jess will be flying back to the States to train for his upcoming fight in the UFC which is scheduled for 19th January.
Monday 24th December, Wednesday 26th December, Monday 31st December and every Tuesday
from December 2nd December will be closed until Jess' return from his fight.
