PL Crew stepping it up
First things first. Pancrase London has leased it's very own space in Bethnal Green where we plan to move our academy. Initially we will be teaching 4 classes a week there until we eventually get all our classes transfered there for a full time training center. As usual we will cater for both the standup fighters and the grapplers. Please kepe an eye on the website and the forums as we might make a move there very soon. We are all very excited about this move as it will open new doors for us. Watch this space.
Congratulations to Wesley Felix, a good friend of Pancrase London and regular comer, on his recent win at UKMMAC 16, who convincingly dominated Denas Banevicius and won via submission with a forearm choke in the time of 1:33 of the first round. Wesley is quickly rising to be a dominant force in the featherweight category.
Also a very well done to PL Soldiers Fritz and Rob who after just 1 year of training went into their first submission wrestling tournament. They participated in the UK ADCC competition and showed alot of talent. We look forward to seeing these two progress in the world of grappling and MMA.
Our very own wonderboy, Dean Jones is set to have his comeback fight and carry on his undefeated record. He is set to face Harvey Harra who also has an undefeated record of 3-0, and an impressive win over Ian Butlin. This is going to be an interesting match and will surely be a crowd pleaser. They are set to fight at the next Cage Rage: Contenders show.
Rising star Ashleigh Grimshaw has yet to be given a new opponent. After his last impressive performance Cage Rage officials have stated that they are finding it difficult to find someone willing to face Ash. In light of this Ash is considering changing his nickname to "The Icecream Man" in hopes that people will be less intimidated to face him in the ring.
Another month, and yet again the PL crew have found themselves on the pages of Fighters Only magazine. Inside this month's issue you will find a 4 page report on the PL Crew's recent holiday training camp in Thailand, and a further 2 pages showcasing some techniques by Ash and Dean.
With Jess's hand healed he is set to face a very dangerous opponent that is Ross "The Boss" Mason at Cage Rage 19 in Earl's Court on the 9th December 2006. Mason with a record of 8-5-0 is a very dangerous opponent and a has even contended for the belt. A win for Jess here will firmly put him on the road to redemption and a candidate to face the Welterweight champion, Paul Daley.
